How to do Educational Outreach.
A Template for Guild Chapters

September 2001 - The Graphic Artists Guild of Northern California has prepared a PDF template document to assist Guild chapters in forming their own committee to reach out and inform new professionals in the graphic arts.

An education in professional business standards must be taught to all graphic artists beginning their careers. The Guild believes that this is one way to improve the future business environment for all graphic artists.

To that end, the Northern California Outreach Committee has created a template and a set of guidelines and procedures on how a Guild chapter can bring educational outreach to local schools and design organisations.

This document contains committee procedures, sample letters for recruitment, checklists for speakers and much more. The committee hopes this will help facilitate the process for volunteers.

Special thanks to the members of the Outreach Committee of Northern California: Jennifer Mahoney. Edna Cacabin Moran, Bill Russell, Colette Simmons and Susan Synarski and all the speakers.
